Night's Welcome Needs You

A Night’s Welcome Winter Shelter program for the homeless in which area congregations rotate hospitality providing shelter, dinner and breakfast meals during the cold winter months.  Doors open at 6 pm (1 hr earlier) and close at 7 am the next morning. Each guest has a detailed case management intake sheet completed and they are evaluated for additional services. The program currently runs 24 weeks during the coldest winter months, from October through early April.

Our week to host this awesome program begins March 26. We need people willing to serve the Lord by serving our guests. No experience is necessary. Volunteer opportunities  include:

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

  • Registration
  • Preparing and serving dinner
  • Preparing and serving breakfast
  • Preparing bag lunches
  • General clean-up each morning
  • Fellowship
  • Overnight staff
SHOPPING LIST

  • toothbrushes
  • deodorant (full size)
  • bars of soap
  • Band-Aids
  • chap stick
  • hand sanitizers (travel  size)
  • personal size packs of tissues
  • wash cloths
  • white socks
  • cases of bottled water
